Harvest Development Group Recruitment for Middlesex United Way President and CEO

We were honored to managed the recruitment for Middlesex United Way’s new President and CEO.  Following a nationwide search, the Board of Directors named Shawonda Swain as their new President and CEO.

We take a collaborative approach when working with our clients throughout each stage of the recruitment process.  By meeting with key stakeholders we are able to identify the current needs of the organization as well as for its future. “Harvest Development Group’s collaboration with the Recruitment Committee members and discussions with staff, funders, and agency partners defined our organization and the role of our next President and CEO to advance our work and mission,” said Kim Hogan, Board Chair.

Shawonda served in various leadership roles with the Boys and Girls Club  of Madison Square, Brooklyn, NY before joining Boys and Girls Club of Hartford as Vice President and CEO.  She was responsible for the organization’s 10 clubs serving 8,000 youth annually while overseeing their safe operations, quality of the programming, and partnerships with other organization. She was selected to represent Boys and Girls Club of America at a Congressional hearing, soliciting $1.2B on behalf of the organization and 21st Century Community Learning Centers.

Middlesex United Way is dedicated to strengthening lives, helping people, and improving community conditions in the fifteen Middlesex County towns they serve. Their partnerships and collaboration with partner agencies brings resources together and is a catalyst to achieve measurable, positive impact in education, health, housing and financial stability.

Congratulations to Shawonda Swain, the Middlesex United Way Staff, and the Board of Directors. Welcome to the Harvest Development Group community!
